Engel & Völkers Continues Expansive Growth Across Georgia in 2024

Atlanta’s largest privately held real estate brokerage increased sales by 33%, made strategic acquisitions and invested in key hires last year

Engel & Völkers Atlanta, the city’s largest privately held real estate brokerage and trailblazer in luxury new home sales, today announces a transformative year of growth in 2024, achieving a 33.3% increase in sales across their markets, surpassing market-wide averages by 36.5%. This banner year included the launch of three suburban and in-town communities, pivotal leadership appointments, and notable growth across the board.

“In 2024, we leveraged strong momentum including the opening of our North Georgia office and an expanded market presence,” said Christa Huffstickler, founder and CEO of Engel & Völkers Atlanta. “While market conditions remained uncertain, our leadership felt strongly that it was the perfect time to double down on growth and resources to propel our brand further. Despite the challenging market, we launched several new development communities, onboarded an exceptional suite of new advisors with deep market expertise and widened our reach across Metro Atlanta and the North Georgia communities, spanning up to the tri-state area.”

To accelerate this momentum, Engel & Völkers appointed Christopher Burell as Chief Growth Officer for the firm. Burell partners closely with Huffstickler to oversee agent development, team leadership, brand strategy and operational growth. Burell was recently appointed president of the Atlanta REALTORS® Association, where he will lead the largest local real estate association in the state of Georgia. In addition, the firm has appointed Ted Bruner as the Director of Marketing and Communications to work with the leadership team to execute marketing campaigns that support the overall growth of Engel & Völkers’ advisors.

“Joining Engel & Völkers Atlanta during a milestone year has given me a front-row seat to the resilience and tenacity that defines our brand,” said Burell. “Our team consistently demonstrates an unwavering commitment to excellence, most notably with the deep roots each leadership and executive showcases in their dedication to long-term growth and prosperity. As we reflect on the ever-changing nature that defines Atlanta’s real estate market and look to 2025, we aim to remain the constant amongst all the change – for our advisors, our clients, and our people – in order to continue delivering elevated services that set new benchmarks in Atlanta’s luxury real estate market.”

In 2024, Engel & Völkers launched sales for new neighborhoods including Pepperpike Court, a luxury single-family community by Deluxeton Homes, Findley Row, a boutique condominium community by Monte Hewett and The Moderns on Memorial, a collection of townhomes designed by the renowned team of SinoCoin LLC and TSW Architects. These projects contributed to a 33.3% increase in total units sold and a 32.6% growth in total sales volume year-over-year in a Q1-Q3 market-wide comparison, reinforcing Engel & Völkers’ reputation as a market leader in Atlanta’s luxury real estate sector.
