Miles & Stockbridge Announces New Principals

Miles & Stockbridge is pleased to announce that lawyers Adam A. BartolanzoMichael B. BrownSusan DuMont and Tessa Laspia Frederick have been elected principals of the law firm.

The new class of principals merges legal acumen with deep understanding of their industries to deliver client-focused solutions in the following areas:

  • Advising government contractors in all aspects of their business, including procurement and bid protest matters
  • Litigating commercial and business disputes in state and federal courts
  • Assisting clients in product liability and regulatory and compliance issues, including before the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission
  • Leading the firm’s representation of financial institutions in their response to actions to enforce judgments

Adam A. Bartolanzo supports clients in all areas of government contracting. He assists contractors and subcontractors with technical data and computer software rights in government contracts, cost and pricing issues, small business regulatory compliance, claims, bid protests and False Claims Act litigation.

Michael B. Brown helps clients navigate corporate governance, financial services and real estate disputes. Alongside his representation of both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal trial courts, Michael also maintains an active appellate practice.

Susan DuMont advises clients on the intricate legal landscape surrounding product liability and compliance, including representation of manufacturers before the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) in connection with corrective action plans (recalls), civil penalties and reports, as well as investigations under the Consumer Product Safety Act. She has litigation experience in environmental and education law, premises liability, mass torts and complex class-actions.

Tessa Laspia Frederick leads the firm’s representation of financial institutions in the review, processing and responding to writs of garnishment served on major financial institutions in Maryland and Pennsylvania. Her practice covers a wide range of commercial and business litigation matters, including business and contract disputes, copyright and trademark litigation and the litigation of claims arising from banking and lending transactions.
