Associated Builders and Contractors Florida East Coast COO Sonny Maken Appointed to Palm Beach County Internal Audit Committee

Associated Builders and Contractors Florida East Coast (ABC-FEC) is proud to announce that the Palm Beach County Commission has unanimously appointed Chief Operating Officer Sonny Maken to the Palm Beach County Internal Audit Committee.

The Internal Audit Committee plays a crucial role in providing oversight and ensuring transparency in the financial operations and compliance of Palm Beach County. The committee assists the Board of County Commissioners and County Administration maintain accountability through effective performance audits, reviews, and recommendations.

“I am honored to be appointed to the Palm Beach County Internal Audit Committee,” said Maken. “I look forward to contributing to the committee’s mission of promoting efficiency, accountability, and fiscal responsibility within the county’s operations. Strong governance and oversight are critical to ensuring trust and excellence in public service.”

This appointment further exemplifies Maken’s dedication to supporting the communities served by ABC-FEC. He received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and his Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. In addition, he holds the prestigious Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation.
