CourseKey Secures Strategic Growth Investment from PSG

CourseKey, a San Diego, CA-based provider of a student success platform purpose-built for vocational education, received a strategic investment from PSG.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.

Led by CEO Luke Sophinos, CourseKey provides an end-to-end mobile app for students acting as their key operating system while attending a vocational school. The app automates attendance through GPS, sound, and biometric verification, enables students to track their skills and competencies, submit tuition payments, engage in social channels, and complete forms and surveys. On the school side, it offers a retention platform that automatically intervenes with students at the right time, helping them stay on track and avoid dropping out. These capabilities help schools maintain compliance, boost retention, and improve the student experience.

CourseKey joins PSG’s investments in Verity IQ and Campus Ivy, creating a unified, end-to-end technology suite for career-focused and vocational education providers.
