WAYNE, Pa.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Bala Consulting Engineers, Inc. announces new appointments by the Board of Directors for Chief Executive Officer Kimberly D. Burkert and Executive Vice President Thomas M. Reusche. Effective immediately, Kimberly Burkert will assume the role of President in addition to her current role as CEO of Bala. Burkert was appointed to the Board in 2017 and named CEO in 2021. Thomas M. Reusche is Executive Vice President and leader of the firm’s Business Development Division, and will be joining the Board as Secretary. Former President, Robert J. Voth, remains on the firm’s Board of Directors following his retirement in December 2024.
Thomas M. Reusche joined Bala in 2002 after working nearly 20 years in electrical construction, focused on the mission critical, corporate office and healthcare industries. During his tenure at the firm, he has made a profound impact on market sector development, regional office expansion and staff development through personal mentoring of team members.
The 2025 Board appointments follow the firm’s succession plans that commenced in 2021 which provides a consistent leadership structure to support future strategic growth of the company. In 2024, Bala achieved significant expansion in the data center, life care, education, sustainability and technology sectors which will form the foundation for expanded revenue generation in 2025.
