Elected in Legislative District 43A to the Baltimore City Democratic State Central Committee, Emerson serves as its 1st Vice Chair. In 2022, She was recommended by Governor Moore to serve as Deputy Treasurer for the Maryland State Democratic Party. She aims to equip Emerge alumnae with the policy acumen and campaign skills to succeed, ensuring their confidence in advancing progressive leadership.
“I am thrilled to join Emerge Maryland at this pivotal moment in the organization’s growth,” said Emerson. “Emerge Maryland has a long-standing commitment to empowering women to lead, and I look forward to working with our incredible Board and supporters to continue expanding this vital mission. Together, we will build an even more inclusive and representative future for Maryland’s leadership at every level.”
