The William Fell to debut Spring 2025 as part of Tapestry Collection by Hilton, transforming iconic neighborhood gem
The William Fell, a totally rebuilt 80-room hotel in the historic property formerly known as the Admiral Fell Inn, will unveil its transformation with a grand opening in April 2025. The hotel, owned and operated by Meyer Jabara Hotels (MJH), is proud to be joining Hilton’s high-end, boutique lifestyle brand, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. Nestled in the heart of historic Fells Point at 888 S. Broadway, The William Fell is just steps from the waterfront and Fells Point Square. Surrounded by acclaimed restaurants, lively pubs, and vibrant nightlife, the hotel seamlessly blends contemporary luxury with the authentic, whimsical charm of the neighborhood.
The hotel is named after William Fell, the first settler of Fells Point, who built the area’s first colonial home and established its inaugural shipyard. Fell’s contributions helped lay the foundation for the thriving shipping hub that Baltimore is renowned for today. Boasting waterfront views of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, The William Fell stands out for its prime location and exceptional accessibility. The hotel offers more than just a place to stay—it invites visitors to become part of a story rich in history, culture, and community. With its prime location, guests can effortlessly explore the city’s most celebrated restaurants, local gems, and scenic waterfront. Beyond its unbeatable location, The William Fell promises an experience where thoughtful design, personalized service, and a sense of connection ensure every stay is memorable.
“The William Fell is a cornerstone of the neighborhood, and we are proud to usher in a new era through our continued investment in the hotel and Fells Point,” said Justin Jabara, President of MJH. “Our vision is to honor the legacy and authenticity of Fells Point while offering an exceptional hotel experience and a neighborhood space that reflects the welcoming spirit of Charm City. Through intentional design, attention to detail, and unmatched hospitality, we aim to elevate this centerpiece of Fells Point even higher.”
Maintaining the building’s original brick structure from the 1700s, thoughtful renovations by RD Jones + Associates have completely updated the property. Renovations include new guest rooms and bath, sleek lobby updates featuring local nautical-themed art, a coffee area on the first floor, fitness center with courtyard access, a fifth-floor banquet space comprising a sprawling 2,400 square feet of true meeting space, and a boardroom surrounded by a wraparound terrace overlooking the picturesque Belgian block cobblestone of Thames Street and South Broadway. The lobby and guest rooms will highlight local artists from past and present. A sample of works include a glass centerpiece created by glass and neon artist, Joseph A. Corcoran, and black and white photography from acclaimed local pictorialist, A. Aubrey Bodine, marrying the location’s storied past with its new vision for the future.
