Fairfax, Va.-based Kaiden AI, which runs a training platform for law enforcement and public safety professionals, has raised $1 million in a pre-seed funding round led by California’s Focal Ventures. Other investors included 43.io and Hustle Fund, both from the West Coast, and some angel investors.
The startup has used law enforcement professionals to develop technology with immersive, voice-interactive simulations that can prepare officers for real-world scenarios. The platform aligns with “state-specific training standards and provides practical, hands-on experiences that enhance decision-making and confidence under pressure,” Kaiden AI said.

“This funding enables us to accelerate the development and deployment of Kaiden AI’s tailored training solutions,” said Ali Aldubaisi, co-founder and CEO. “Our platform is built to address the challenges faced by today’s law enforcement professionals, equipping them with the skills and confidence they need to serve their communities effectively.”
Aldubaisi, who earned a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience at George Mason University, and Ali Aldjaei, who earned a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the Virginia Commonwealth University, co-founded Kaiden AI in 2023. Aldubaisi held marketing positions prior to becoming an entrepreneur. Aldjaei previously served as a flight test engineer at the Naval Air Systems Command, besides working on the development, testing and validation of F-35 aircraft systems. He serves as Kaiden’s chief operating officer.
Positive Feedback
“Kaiden is bringing transformative technology to public safety, and the momentum is clear, with new departments joining almost weekly,” said Daniel Darling, managing partner at Focal Ventures.

Kaiden AI says it has won more than five “major” customers for pilots. All have rapidly adopted the company’s programs and provided “strong feedback on enhanced realism and flexibility,” the startup said. Kaiden AI has reduced scenario completion times by 20% and improved de-escalation evaluations by 30%, the company said.
“Kaiden AI exceeds expectations with its ability to simulate complex scenarios, providing adaptability and mentorship to law enforcement professionals,” Captain William Arnest of Fairfax County Police Academy was quoted as saying in a press release.
Kaiden AI said it expects to use the recent funding to expand staff, enhance technology infrastructure and scale the platform to reach additional public safety organizations.
