Skanska USA Building Names Matt Frey as EVP and General Manager for Georgia

Industry veteran tapped to lead Skanska’s building operations’ continued growth and strategic partnerships in region.

Skanska, a leading global construction and development firm, has promoted Matt Frey to Executive Vice President and General Manager overseeing Skanska USA Building’s Atlanta-based building operations in the Georgia region. With two decades of construction industry experience, most recently serving as Vice President and Account Manager for the region, Frey brings a proven track record of strategic growth and client relationship management to his new role. He succeeds Scott Cannon who was recently named Regional Executive Officer for the company’s Southeast region.

Under Frey’s leadership as Vice President and Account Manager, Skanska has delivered exceptional projects throughout the region, including the world’s first newly constructed Signia property by Hilton, the award-winning Kendeda Building for Innovative Sustainable Design at Georgia Tech, Grady Health System’s Correll Pavilion, Mercedes Benz North American Headquarters, and the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport Terminal T North Expansion.

Frey holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Northern Kentucky University.
