Baltimore-based WPM Real Estate Management announced today that it has promoted Julie Parks to Senior Director of Accounting for the organization. In this new role, Parks will assume accounting leadership responsibilities across all divisions, working closely with WPM’s CFO and providing additional accounting leadership support for the company’s growing property management operations.
This new role reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to its long-term sustainability and multigenerational vision. By assuming broader responsibility for the company’s accounting functions, Parks will play a critical role in ensuring operational efficiency and supporting client success. It will also enable WPM CFO Tim Lewis to work more closely with the company’s executive management team on strategic growth opportunities, including new alliances and acquisitions.
“Julie’s commitment to excellence and her ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights have been invaluable to our team and clients,” says Tim Lewis, CFO of WPM Real Estate. “Her collaborative leadership and dedication to precision in financial reporting make her uniquely positioned to drive success across all divisions of WPM.”
Most recently, Parks served as a controller in the company, working predominantly with WPM’s multifamily real estate division. Her proficiency in accounting, data analysis, and financial reporting provides the company and its clients with reliable insights critical to achieving their business goals. She excels at identifying trends, anomalies, and financial risks that facilitate informed and strategic decision-making.
Parks joined WPM in 2021 and has over 25 years of experience in accounting and financial leadership, with expertise in real estate, property management, and government compliance. She earned a master’s degree in accounting from American University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Rochester, with additional certificates in Accounting, Finance, and International Relations. She was awarded WPM Real Estate Management’s Outstanding Achievement Award in 2023.
“I’m excited to step into this expanded role,” says Parks. “This opportunity allows me to build on our strong foundation, enhance our accounting operations, and support our teams in continuing to deliver exceptional results across all divisions.”
