Free Rein Coffee & Walmart Join Forces to Serve Those Who Serve & Honor Community Heroes Across the Country

WHAT: Free Rein Coffee Company is partnering with Walmart to Serve Those Who Serve™ by honoring those who serve their country or community across the country this February.

Linked to Free Rein’s Buy A Bag, Give a Cup™ promise where, for every bag of coffee purchased, the company gives a cup back to someone who serves their country or community, this new ‘Honor Community Heroes’ activation gives Walmart shoppers the chance to nominate someone who serves in their community (including active military, veterans, first responders, medical professionals and teachers), for the chance to win one of 10 prizes worth over $650 a piece, including a year’s worth of coffee from Free Rein and a $250 gift card from Walmart.

The activation will be promoted in 82 Walmart stores, including Austin, Fort Worth, San Antonio, Houston, Phoenix, and Las Vegas with signage in the coffee aisle.  Free Rein and Walmart’s social pages will also raise awareness about the call for entries.

“We’re proud to partner with Walmart to honor the hard-working folks who serve our communities,” said Arlyn Davich, CEO, Free Rein Coffee. “Walmart shoppers have really embraced our ‘Buy a Bag, Give a Cup™’ promise and we’re excited that we can go a step further with this ‘Community Heroes’ activation.”

“We believe in investing in the community,” said Laurie Smalling Letts, Group Director of Community Relations at Walmart. “We’re excited to team up with Free Rein Coffee to celebrate the Community Heroes who make a big difference for our associates and customers every day.”
