Fowler White, a leading full-service law firm with more than 80 years of history, is pleased to announce the strategic realignment of its Products Liability and Toxic Torts Practice Group. As the firm prepares to relocate their Miami office to Downtown Miami at the Class-A Citigroup Center, this realignment reflects a sharpened focus on aviation product exposure, aligning with the firm’s extensive experience representing large manufacturers in the aviation sector. The firm also provides strategic counsel to clients facing large and complex products liability matters, particularly in the industrial and manufacturing sectors and remains committed to delivering comprehensive legal solutions that address the evolving needs of its clients.
The Products Liability and Toxic Torts Practice Group will be led by distinguished co-chairs, Stephen F. Coxhead and Christopher E. Knight, both recognized leaders in products liability and aviation litigation with a wealth of experience representing prominent manufacturers, insurers, and corporations globally.
Coxhead, a Managing Shareholder and member of the firm’s Management Committee, is an accomplished trial attorney with a robust background in the defense of manufacturers in product liability and complex commercial matters. He has represented major manufacturers of aircraft, airframes, and component parts in cases stemming from crashes involving general aviation and commercial aircraft across the globe. His comprehensive understanding of aviation litigation has earned him global recognition, including his recent listing in Who’s Who Legal: Transport 2024 for Aviation Contentious. Coxhead’s strategic approach and in-depth industry knowledge have consistently delivered favorable outcomes for his clients. In addition to his work in the aviation sector, Coxhead represents industrial equipment and manufacturing clients across multiple industries.
Knight, also a Managing Shareholder and member of the firm’s Management Committee, is a nationally recognized trial attorney with extensive experience representing domestic and international airline carriers, aircraft and engine manufacturers, and maintenance providers. Knight’s practice includes defending clients in litigation arising from mass disasters and aircraft accidents. In addition to aviation, he handles high-exposure product liability cases for leading manufacturers in various industries, including agriculture, construction, and medical equipment. He has received numerous accolades, including recognition in Chambers and Partners USA Guide where he is ranked in USA Nationwide for Transportation: Litigation: Aviation, Who’s Who Legal: Transport for Aviation Contentious, and Best Lawyers in America for multiple areas of law including Products Liability Litigation.
“This strategic shift allows us to leverage our strengths in aviation product exposure and better serve our clients with a focused, specialized approach,” said Managing Shareholder Christopher E. Knight. “Under our leadership, the practice group will continue delivering innovative solutions and exceptional representation to the aviation industry.”
