nDrive, a global mobility and urban services platform operating in 888 cities across 48 countries, announces that it has expanded its offering with the launch of in-app bus ticket sales in Brazil. This latest feature marks an important milestone for the world’s second-most-downloaded ride-hailing app, as it accelerates its transition into a comprehensive, multi-service platform.
The new bus ticketing feature, which covers over 5,000 bus routes operated by more than 200 companies across Brazil and is available as part of the inDrive. City to City offering,
enables customers to purchase tickets in advance through the inDrive app, bypassing potentially lengthy lines at bus ticketing offices. Users can select from a variety of bus type
and seat choices, such as executive, recliner and sleeper to suit a large array of travel needs. Payment can be made within the inDrive app via credit cards, Apple Pay or PIX,
Brazil’s popular instant payment method.
This new feature aligns closely with inDrive’s mission to prioritize fairness and freedom of choice. Customers buying bus tickets through the inDrive app will be charged significantly
lower commission rates than the market average (at 0-3%, compared to an average of 15%) and won’t encounter any hidden costs at checkout.
Stefano Mazzaferro, Brazil Country Manager at inDrive, commented: “We’re excited to introduce bus ticketing in Brazil as part of inDrive’s ongoing expansion into new services. This latest feature aligns with our mission to improve people’s lives by providing fair and accessible solutions that prioritize freedom of choice. It also supports our broader transition into a multi-service platform, enabling us to diversify our sources of revenue while offering greater convenience to our users in a way that remains true to our values.”
While ride-hailing remains inDrive’s core product, the platform has expanded its offering to include city-to-city transportation and delivery. Last year, inDrive also began piloting financial
services called inDrive.Money in some of its markets, including Mexico and Colombia. inDrive.Money, which is not currently available in Brazil, enables drivers who were previously
underserved by traditional banks to access loans and other types of consumer credit via the inDrive app.
