Stanley Steemer of South Florida, one of the leading franchises with Stanley Steemer, announced today that it has acquired the Miami-Dade and Broward County operations from Stanley Steemer International. This acquisition will add 45 employees and 30 service vehicles to its organization, making it the largest Stanley Steemer franchise in sales volume in the nation.
This expansion will allow Stanley Steemer of South Florida to expand its core services from Homestead to Sebastian. These residential and commercial services will include carpet and floor cleaning, water damage restoration, mold remediation, air duct cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, furniture cleaning, and fire remediation. The acquisition includes the offices in Doral and Dania Beach and will increase its fleet of service vehicles to 90 and employees to 150.
“We jumped at the chance to acquire these operations in Broward and Miami-Dade as we’ve been impressed with the team that is in place there. They will fit in perfectly with our culture of hard work and respect for the customers. I’m also excited that whether it’s a residential or commercial project in South Florida, there is no job too big for our team,” said Tom Scalera, President and CEO of Stanley Steemer of South Florida.
Scalera started working at Stanley Steemer of Palm Beach County in 1982 as a carpet cleaner by day and as a mechanic fixing the trucks at night. In 1984 he became the manager and in 1986 was awarded at the Stanley Steemer International convention for “Franchise Manager of The Year” and would win the “Jack Bates Award”, which is the highest honor of all awards given by Stanley Steemer International, for his part in the company’s transformation to “Cleaning for Health”.
“Stanley Steemer is the most trusted name in cleaning and Tom Scalera exemplifies this. With his impressive track record of growth, we know that our Miami-Dade and Broward operations are in good hands, and we can look forward to more success,” said Wes Bates, CEO of Stanley Steemer International, Inc.
