Towson Bootery to Close After 77 Years

Towson Bootery will close its doors next month after “fitting shoes the old fashioned way” since 1948.

“After 77 wonderful years of serving our community, we are sad to announce that Towson Bootery will be closing its doors on March 23, 2025. We sincerely appreciate your support over the years,” the store’s owners posted on their website and social media Tuesday.

Three generations have helped run Towson Bootery, since R. Richard Rudolph first opened Towson Bootery in 1948. Today, Richard’s son Alex Rudolph owns and operates the store with help from Alex’s daughter Stephanie.
