The Peabody Companies, in Partnership With Tent City Corporation, Introduces New Program to Boost Credit Scores and Provide Rental Assistance

Free program offered by MassHousing and Esusu

The Peabody Companies, a group of award-winning property management and real estate firms, in partnership with Tent City Corporation, the resident-comprised organization that owns Tent City Apartments, announces a new program that enables residents of Tent City and Warren Avenue Apartments to improve their credit scores by making timely rent payments.

Residents of the two Boston neighborhood communities who pay their rent on time will benefit from positive reports being sent to credit reporting agencies, such as Equifax, TransUnion, and Experian.

The program is offered in partnership between MassHousing and Esusu. MassHousing is an independent, quasi-public agency charged with providing financing for affordable housing in Massachusetts.  Esusu is a financial technology company that helps renters build their credit by reporting rent payments to major credit bureaus.  The company aims to address financial challenges and barriers to credit faced by many individuals, particularly those with limited credit history.

“We are excited to introduce this new program in partnership with MassHousing and Esusu,” said Olayinka Kuye-Romelus, director of portfolio operations at the Peabody Companies.  “By enabling our residents to build their credit through timely rent payments, we are not only helping them achieve greater financial stability, but also empowering them to access more opportunities in the future.  This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to enhancing the lives of our residents and supporting their financial well-being.”
