Planit Kicks Off 30th Year With Addys Wins And Lifetime Achievement Recognition

Co-Founder and President Matt Doud Honored for Three Decades of Impact and Innovation

Baltimore-based advertising agency, Planit, was honored with four awards at the 51st Annual American Advertising Awards Gala on Thursday, March 6, 2025. Planit’s award-winning creative spanned multiple industries and disciplines, featuring creative work for home and garden products, healthcare and nonprofits. In addition to Planit’s creative awards, Matt Doud, co-founder and president of Planit, was named the recipient of this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing his lasting impact on Baltimore’s advertising community.

The Baltimore American Advertising Awards, also known as the ADDYs, is hosted by the American Advertising Federation of Baltimore (AAFB) and pays tribute to the region’s most talented marketing and communications professionals. The Grand Theft Auto-themed event was hosted at the Assembly Room in downtown Baltimore and welcomed 275 local professionals to the celebration.

Planit won four ADDY awards for the following entries:

Doud’s visionary leadership has helped shape the region’s marketing landscape, fostering innovation, mentorship and a culture of creativity at Planit and beyond. His contributions extend far past Planit—through industry involvement, community service and championing bold ideas, he has inspired the next generation of leaders. This award honors Doud’s enduring commitment to elevating Baltimore’s advertising industry and the people within it.

This year the AAFB awarded 56 ADDYs, including 27 silver and 22 gold awards, to local agencies, production houses and in-house marketing teams. To ensure fair judging, three creative advertising professionals from outside the Baltimore market reviewed each entry. Gold award entries will automatically move on to the regional competition to compete with agencies from Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, Delaware, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
