Hospice care provider increases footprint to 167,367 SF at South Florida’s premier business park
VITAS Healthcare, the nation’s leading provider of end-of-life care and a tenant at the Miramar Park of Commerce since 1995, has once again expanded its presence in the Park to 167,819 sq. ft. in several buildings.
Most recently, VITAS leased 47,819 sq. ft. of new office space in MPC 30 at 3140 Executive Way to accommodate critical administrative and operational functions that support 53 hospice care programs across 15 states and the District of Columbia. The company also has renewed a combined total of 52,733 sq. ft. of space in MPC 30 at 3120 Executive Way and in MPC 19B at 3046 Corporate Way. Prior expansions by the company occurred in 2024 and 2019.
“The flexibility and scalability provided by Miramar Park of Commerce have been key to accommodating the growth of VITAS over the years,” said Ryan Goggins, Vice President of Sunbeam Properties & Development, developer of the Park. “The Park’s ability to offer tailored space solutions has enabled businesses like VITAS to thrive, expanding operations without the disruption of relocations.”
VITAS, which was originally founded in Miami and has expanded its services across the United States, is committed to providing high-quality, compassionate end-of-life care, while continuing to adapt to meet the evolving needs of patients and their families. With continuous operational expansion over the last three decades at the Miramar Park of Commerce, VITAS now employs more than 11,000 professionals who serve an average of 21,000 patients daily.
Miramar Park of Commerce, South Florida’s largest locally owned and managed business park, has established a healthcare hub with more than 30 healthcare companies occupying more than 1.1 million sq. ft. of space. The Park’s diverse mix of companies, along with its strategic location, continue to foster regional economic growth and enhance the area’s business environment.
Goggins and Peter (“PJ”) Apol, Director of Leasing and Marketing for Sunbeam Properties & Development, represented the Park in the transaction.
