Katya Fisher has served as a lawyer to entrepreneurs and investors in high-tech companies for many years, first as an outside counsel and now for the past six years as chief legal officer and vice chairman of the Constructor Group.
Fisher is now a high-tech entrepreneur in her own right — the founder of Miami-based Aracor AI, which aims to solve the M&A transparency gap for in-house attorneys and business executives at investment funds.
Fisher co-founded Aracor AI with Gordon Caplan, former co-chairman of Willkie Farr & Gallagher, and renowned technology entrepreneur and investor Serg Bell.
Aracor AI is building tools that can be used to automatically redact sensitive content and customize complex commercial negotiations. Its platform integrates with Microsoft Word, easing workflows. The company says its early users include private equity and venture capital firms, as well as SaaS companies that seek speed and efficiencies in handling legal workflows for corporate governance, M&A and investment transactions.
In February, Aracor AI raised $4.5 million in pre-seed funding led by Miami’s Fuel Venture Capital. “Partnering with Fuel Venture Capital marks a pivotal moment for Aracor AI,” said Fisher. “Their investment and strategic guidance will empower us to bring our groundbreaking AI solutions to more businesses worldwide, helping them reach their full potential and achieve transformative outcomes.”
Fuel Venture’s Maggie Vo said she was an early adopter and frequent user of Aracor AI. “I have experienced firsthand how Aracor AI has supported our fund to expedite contract review, streamline due diligence, and negotiate with greater insight and confidence,” Vo, managing general partner and chief investment officer at Fuel Venture, said in a statement.

“As a female general partner, it’s deeply meaningful to support a passionate and forward-thinking female CEO and co-founder like Katya Fisher, cheering her and bringing her vision to life – even when the whole world might not fully see it yet,” Vo added.
In the past, Fisher has shown an interest in the potential of smart contracts in dispute resolution and the “intersection between privacy and data protection laws in various jurisdictions as related to distributed ledger technologies and how that relationship will evolve over time.” She also is focused on business immigration, helping foreign-born entrepreneurs and technologists live in the United States.
Fisher received a BA from New York University and a JD from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law during which she was awarded the Howard M. Squadron Fellowship to University of Oxford’s Centre for Socio-Legal Studies, where she completed a Program in Comparative Media Law & Policy. For five years in a row since 2014, she was named in Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” in Corporate Law.
