
International Innovation Hub of Boston & City of Boston to Award a Prestigious Pre-College Scholarship
The International Innovation Hub of Boston (IIHOB) is set to host a landmark event at Dearborn STEM Academy on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, featuring a special visit from Mayor Michelle Wu, Red Sox legend & IIHOB CEO David “Big Papi” Ortiz, and IIHOB President Gabriela Salas.
This initiative is part of IIHOB’s commitment to expanding access to innovation, mentorship, and higher education for students in Boston’s underrepresented communities. During the event, IIHOB will announce a life-changing opportunity: a full scholarship for one Dearborn STEM Academy student to attend one of Boston’s Prestige Universitys’ Pre-College Program, valued between $6,000 – $12,000.
Bridging Boston’s Innovation Ecosystem and Knowledge with the Next Generation
The University’s Pre-College Program is a highly competitive experience that gives high school students access to world-class faculty, research opportunities, and academic rigor. The scholarship will be awarded by Tufts Pre-College Programs to a top-performing Dearborn student who meets one of the following criteria:
Excels academically, ranking at the top of their class
Has demonstrated innovation in fields such as AI, healthcare, or technology
This opportunity is made possible through the collaboration between IIHOB, David Ortiz, Mayor Michelle Wu, and Tufts Pre-College Programs, ensuring that Boston’s brightest students, regardless of background, have access to the resources they need to succeed.
