This prestigious recognition, presented by McKnight’s Long-Term Care News, McKnight’s Senior Living, and McKnight’s Home Care, honors senior-level professionals who have made a significant impact within their organizations and the senior living industry.

“Amy is an extraordinary leader who truly embodies the values of our community here at Westminster at Lake Ridge,” said Kera Wooten, Director at Westminster at Lake Ridge. “A true woman of distinction, her dedication and leadership in serving those with cognitive challenges serves as an inspiration to us all.”

The awards program, now in its seventh year, recognizes outstanding women in senior care across multiple categories, including Veteran VIP, Rising Star, and Spirit Award, as well as the Commercial Excellence Award, which honors women working for contracted companies that serve senior living, skilled nursing, or home care providers. Honorees were selected by an external panel of industry experts and will be celebrated at an in-person event on May 13 in Chicago.

“When you work with individuals with cognitive struggles, the reward is in the form of in-the-moment smiles, laughs, heartfelt hugs, and thank yous,” said Amy Hewes. “I am grateful to my nominators and McKnight’s for spotlighting this important work and recognizing the impact that our entire memory care team has on our Westminster at Lake Ridge residents and their loved ones.”
