Amerant Bank, Florida’s bank of choice with a growing presence across South Florida, proudly served as the official sponsor of “Camilus House Signature Art Showcase,” an inspiring evening dedicated to celebrating the transformative power of art, held on March 25th.
Presented in collaboration with Camillus House Young Leaders—a group of young professionals committed to raising awareness and funds for Camillus House through special events and volunteer efforts—the showcase featured an extraordinary collection of artwork created by talented clients of Camillus House. Guests had the unique opportunity to engage directly with the artists, hear their personal stories, and gain insight into their creative processes.
“The power of art to heal, empower, and uplift is truly remarkable, and we are honored to support these talented artists by providing them with a platform to share their work, while enjoying a night of networking and celebration,” said Maria Olivera, Community Relations Director at Amerant Bank. “This showcase underscores our commitment to creating programs that inspire and create meaningful opportunities for individuals that don’t have the means to share their art and stories in a public and professional setting.”
Alberto Capriles, SEVP Chief Risk Officer at Amerant Bank, who was recently appointed to the Camillus House Board, delivered remarks on behalf of the organization. He reinforced the bank’s dedication to making a lasting impact on the communities it serves through meaningful collaborations and partnerships.
Adding to the evening’s impact, the showcased artwork was available for purchase, with proceeds benefiting both Camillus House and the artists themselves, further supporting their creative journeys.

Camillus House has provided humanitarian services to persons who are poor and homeless in Miami-Dade County, Florida since 1960. As a ministry of the Hospitaller Order of St. John of God, Camillus House was originally established to serve Cuban exiles and other poor Miamians.
