
Salsa, an embedded payroll infrastructure provider, raised $20M in Series A funding.
The round, which brought the total amount to $30M, was led by Altos Ventures, with participation from Greycroft, SemperVirens, Definition, and Better Tomorrow Ventures (BTV).
The company intends to use the funds to further expand its ability to integrate payroll capabilities directly into software platforms
Led by CEO John Kramer, Salsa helps software platforms to launch and scale embedded payroll. It provides the infrastructure behind payroll products used to vertical and complex business needs.
Salsa is used by platforms across healthcare, personal services, time and attendance, and small business management.
It operates all 50 U.S. states and Canada.
