Mindgrub’s founder and CEO Todd Marks has been named as one of the most influential Marylanders in technology by The Daily Record. The award recognizes individuals who are leaving a mark on their communities in their respective fields and their leadership in Maryland.
“In the time I have been working with Todd, he has shown uncompromising dedication to leading Mindgrub to be the best agency in the region,” says Mindgrub Chief Operating Officer Shalisa Mohamed. “His passion for technology and his active role in the Baltimore community are just a few of the reasons he is a leader worth emulating.”
Marks is a true futurist and has shared his vision for innovation in technology and business across the globe at conferences, through publications, and by supporting communities. Driven by his passion for using technology to level the digital playing field and achieve greater socio-economic equality in the Baltimore region, Todd is the Chair of the Maryland Tech Council and has provided strategic direction for many public/private initiatives—including the Maryland Business Relief Wizard, an online tool released in early 2020 to help businesses better understand how to navigate federal, state, and local aid programming related to COVID-19.
Todd is also Managing Partner of Mindgrub Ventures, which invests in start-up technology companies that help provide opportunities for local businesses. In addition to financial capital, investment expertise, and strategic support, Mindgrub Ventures’s portfolio companies can exchange equity for product development services from Mindgrub Technologies.
“The 2021 Influential Marylanders lead, innovate, create and mentor. What they do makes a difference in Maryland and often beyond,” says Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, Senior Group Publisher of The Daily Record. “They are actively engaged in the community and are simply inspirational. The Daily Record congratulates them for all their achievements.”
