Continental Realty Corporation (CRC), a Baltimore-based real estate investment and management company, has announced the promotion of Alexa Drass to Assistant Community Manager at Central Island Square Apartments in Daniel Island, South Carolina.
In her new role, Ms. Drass will assist with a range of leasing and property management functions for the development containing 313 multifamily units and nearly 30,000 square feet of retail space. Her duties will include planning resident events, tracking delinquencies, working on resident retention programs and performing customer service functions. She will also establish relationships with residents, local community members, and third-party vendors, with a focus on initiating projects that benefit the community.
Situated at 50 Central Island Street adjacent to Interstate 526 (Mark Clark Expressway), Central Island Square consists of two, three-story and two, four-story buildings. Featuring studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom units, and six townhomes, the mixed-use project was acquired by CRC last year. The resort style community amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, a clubhouse, a two-level fitness center, dedicated yoga facility, an outdoor hammock garden and tranquility courtyard.
Prior to joining CRC last year, Ms. Drass worked in Vail, Colorado as Head of Operations for Snow Sport Vacations and most recently was the Front Desk Manager at Vail Marriott Mountain Resort. She was also a Communications Intern for the High Point Chamber of Commerce in North Carolina. Ms. Drass earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from High Point University.
“Alexa added tremendous value to the Central Island Square team while we transitioned from acquiring the property and growing occupancy,” stated Scott Hamlin, Vice President, Multifamily for CRC. “She has assisted in increasing occupancy by maintaining a 40% closing ratio with a strong focus on improving the leasing experience for customers. Alexa’s efforts have also contributed to the increase of our resident satisfaction score. We are extremely confident Alexa will excel in her new role with CRC, based on her strong background in management and solid leasing foundation.”
