Buckley Beal, the preeminent civil rights and employment litigation firm headquartered in Atlanta, has hired Joseph Quattlebaum, a former law clerk for Magistrate Judge Christopher C. Bly in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

Mr. Quattlebaum will work closely with Mr. Buckley’s team on employment litigation cases involving race discrimination, sex discrimination and sexual harassment.
During his time clerking for Judge Bly, Mr. Quattlebaum focused mainly on employment claims, including those brought under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Rehabilitation Act and the Family and Medical Leave Act. His work under Judge Bly helped shift his professional focus from criminal to civil law.
While pursuing his joint degree in law and theology at Emory University, Mr. Quattlebaum did internships and externships for the public defender offices in Newton County and Fayette County, the Georgia Innocence Project and Fulton County Chief Magistrate Judge Cassandra Kirk.
