In 2020, Ulster Savings Bank launched its first Certified US Banking Professional (CBP) Program. This leadership development program was designed to provide aspiring Ulster Savings Bank employees looking for professional development, a comprehensive training program with an in-depth knowledge of the banking industry. On June 3, 2021, the bank graduated eight employees from the inaugural Class of 2021.
“The CBP Program is an investment in the success of our employees by developing and enhancing their understanding and practice of banking and leadership principles,” said MaryRose Warcholak, SVP/Retail Banking Officer. “Ultimately, it enables them to provide our customers with a superior service experience,” she added.
Graduates of the CBP Program include Karisa Finch, Lake Katrine Branch Manager; Brianna Keary, Woodstock Head Teller; Sara Koval, South Rd., Poughkeepsie Head Teller; Shannon Macedonio, Burnett Blvd., Poughkeepsie Head Teller; Alyssa Miller, New Paltz New Account Representative; Robert Naccarato, Teller; Jean Peters, Saugerties Head Teller; and Phyllis Table, Schwenk Dr., Kingston Head Teller.
The nine-month program, facilitated by the bank’s AVP Training Officer Crystal Jacob, offers specialized training in Customer Service, Consultative Sales Development, Effective Communication, Technology, Finance, Lending Principles, and Leadership along with offering Mentorships in various bank departments. The learning experience involves a variety of training settings including class lectures, course work, group discussions, and team activities.
